My wedding was coming up and I wanted to get into better shape. Over the years, I’ve had memberships in different gyms, however, after a few months, I get bored and stop going. Working with him made me realize that working out can be enjoyable. He was always prepared with new challenges and he tailored my workouts to meet my needs and capabilities. I really liked the variety of exercises and equipment he used, such as kettle balls, power ropes, large tracker tires, etc. Jose was very focused so I got a lot out of each session. Jose motivated me to lead a healthier lifestyle.
All of my time and money spent was 100% worth it! Although I was exhausted after each session, I was satisfied that I met each challenge that Jose set for me. I am so happy that I worked with him. I give Jose and his services the highest recommendation possible!

ABOUT JOSE VILLABLANCA
Hi! Thank you for visiting my website. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised up in the Philippines. Growing up, I had ADD, had to wear knee braces, had chronic severe asthma attacks almost on a weekly basis and was full….overfilled with excess energy which meant I had a hard time focusing.
My fitness journey began at a very young age, pre-teen. My parents enrolled me for swimming classes. After a while of swimming laps religious, I noticed I rarely had asthma attacks. I had more mental focus due o the energy put into swimming and had greater lung capacity. Later in high school, I joined the basketball team. I learned discipline, team work and a sense of camaraderie thanks to team sports.
People usually say it’s hard being 30 pounds being overweight. By the same token, I would say it is just as hard being 30 pounds underweight. When I finally joined the gym at 18, I started gaining muscle and self-esteem. The dedication, hard work and perseverance in the gym translated to my personal and professional lifestyle. I am more focused, self-confident, happier and well balanced physically, emotionally and mentally.
I learned more about health and fitness in my university years. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical education from De La Salle University in Manila.
I moved to Toronto in 2005, enrolled with the Canadian Fitness Professionals as a Certified Personal Trainer. I have worked in both commercial big box gyms as well as private personal training studios. I loved what I did with clients on a 1-on-1 basis and boot camp / group exercise classes. But I always had the hunger for more.
I continued my education more for my own growth in wellness. I then applied what I learned to my clients with the knowledge, practise and experience under my belt. I took up the Spinal Decompression course at Sutherland School of Osteopathy in Toronto, Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Level 2 with Paul Chek of the C.H.E.K. Institute based in California. I also am a CHEK Practitioner Level 1 with other extra courses like Scientific Shoulder Training and an Integrated Approach to Stretching all from the C.H.E.K. Institute. I am a certified TRX trainer both individuals and group TRX classes. I am lucky enough to be a Lululemon ambassador for Sherway Gardens, Toronto in 2010.
With all that I’ve learned, I am very confident with helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. I strongly believe wellness is a big journey in life. Anyone can achieve anything and everything through their life choices. I make sure you enjoy your wellness journey because this is a big determining factor in getting to your goals. I believe in each and everyone of us. All you need is the belief in yourself.
